Our journey starts with a ride through the seemingly endless plain, but as the scenery gradually changes from corn and wheat fields to mildly rolling hills we will arrive at Fruška Gora National Park and our first stop – Krušedol Monastery. Established in the early 16th century it served for centuries as a burial church for the most notable Serbs of the Habsburg Empire – patriarchs, dukes and even an exiled king.

Not far away from our first stop between the green slopes of Fruška Gora mountain and the blueness of Danube river is waiting for us Petrovaradin Fortress – Gibraltar of the Danube. Situated on the rocky cliff on the right bank of the Danube river, this mighty citadel is considered Europe’s second biggest fortress. While enjoying in the stunning view of its surrounding our guide will reveal you interesting stories about this stunning place that is also hosting one of the biggest music festivals in Europe – EXIT.

On the other side of the Danube river bank in the shadow of Petrovaradin Fortress lays Novi Sad – the second largest city in Serbia also known as „Serbian Athens“. Though not as old as Belgrade, the city boasts a lovely 19th century center whose charming baroque architecture, kind inhabitants and colorful facades will make you fall in love at first sight.

Following the steps of the biggest migrations that Serbian people experienced in the 17th century we will arrive to Sremski Karlovci. This charming place is guarding the rich treasury of Serbian culture and spirituality in its edifices of priceless historical values and as for that among locals is known as “museum town”. After our tranquil walk through the center what will be a better way than to finish our journey than with a visit to the first Museum of modern beekeeping in Serbia and local winery where you will enjoy in wine and honey tasting?
